Main purpose of the job:
Trust Payments is looking for a Retail Product Manager to join our growing company and product team, representing our new Trust Retail proposition. Our end-to-end retail products cover ePOS, Inventory Management, Payments, Loyalty and beyond! This role will be responsible for establishing the product roadmaps and delivery, as well as identifying applications of the product across other verticals or business tiers (e.g. Hospitality or SMBs).
Duties and responsibilities:
• Day-to-day management of the Retail products – creating, maintaining and prioritising the product backlog
• Gain a deep understanding of customer and internal stakeholder needs and translate them into feature requests in our product roadmap
• Track industry developments to identify and fill product gaps and generate innovation ideas that grow commercial opportunities
• Define user stories and drive the creation of robust acceptance criteria for features
• Play a key role in sprint ceremonies to include: stand-ups, backlog refinement, planning and sprint retrospectives
• Partner across technology, operations and commercial to ensure the successful launch and commercialisation of products – from concept through to ongoing management
• Measure value and impact of product releases to drive a continued cycle of product development
• Unifying systems and services across stacks to create a unified proposition and platform for future growth
Experience and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years as a software product manager or owner with experience working with or on behalf of retail or hospitality brands
• Ability to create detailed user stories and manage technology sprint teams with a demonstrable track record of product delivery and rollout
• Comfortable with a fast-paced agile environment
• Commercially astute with an ability to understand how the development of technology can be used to derive business benefit for clients
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make the complex simple, and translate technical information to business stakeholders
• Direct experience with retail technology products
• Experience within product-centric organisations
• Experience working directly with clients across different business tiers (SME to Enterprise)
• Technical expertise to create accurate user stories, resolve complex problems and generate innovative ideas
• Experience working with UX teams
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure
• An interest in data analysis, with excellent analytics and problem-solving abilities
• Project management or Business Analysis experience
