Trust Payments is a global unified payment technology group that was formed in 2019 bringing together technology and financial services into an omnichannel solution. The new business model has enabled Trust Payments to establish itself as a leading Fintech Payments group. The company has undertaken a major culture reset and now operates as a fast-paced inclusive organisation with talented people at it’s very heart. In 2019 the business expanded it’s product offering from Gateway and Acquiring to POS and Mobile Loyalty, creating true omnichannel processing capabilities and now provides over 30 unique products to merchants of all sizes. Business revenue has grown significantly in the last 2 years and as such we are expanding into even more products, markets and geographies and are hiring people at all levels.
Main purpose of the job:
Develop and manage Trust Payment’s ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) plan including the creation of corporate social responsibility objectives, which will include helping the business achieve pending B Corp accreditation. This role will also provide occasional support towards group initiatives and investor relations activities.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and manage the Sustainability plans for the group
• Produce and track the annual budget for Sustainability and EDI events / initiatives
• B Corp and other accreditations – Continue with our B Corp application which is in progress and identify other external accreditations that support and promote our efforts in these areas
• Work with an external consultant to determine our Net Zero Strategy ensuring that the investment in this area is tracked and that our net zero targets are clearly defined, published and progress measured against them
• Statutory Reporting – Contribute to the company’s annual report ensuring that our Sustainability strategy is embedded within it and that as a company we continue to track our developments in this area
• Gender Pay Gap – working with the CPO and People Director to fully embed a plan to achieve a 0% Gender Pay gap by 2025. Review data on D&I to ensure the organisation puts in place plans that support the DEI strategy
• Provide regular reporting to CPO and Executive Committee to demonstrate the value of Sustainability and ensure it is aligned with our Employer Value Proposition
• Attend and present at Company Townhalls when required to do so
• Identify and develop initiatives alongside key business stakeholders including Diversity and Inclusion initiatives in conjunction with the D&I Committee
• Volunteering – Coordinate efforts across the group and organise events when necessary, including corporate volunteering days working with the Office Managers
• Charities – Work with local and national charities to raise
• Increase employee participation in volunteering initiatives
• Project ESG – Be an active member of the Payments Association Project ESG contributing to Industry wide change on all aspects of ESG
• Drive sustainability agenda and form part of the environmental committee
• Work with marketing and PR to develop internal and external comms strategy to engage current employees and drive prospective candidates to Trust Payments
• Provide support to the Employee Diversity & Inclusion Committee to implement a robust Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy
• Environmental Green Team – Chair the Green Team meetings and support our Employee Group and lead on environmental issues
• Ad—hoc corporate development work
• Support the board in the preparation of investor relations material including presentations and announcements
Experience and Qualifications:
• Payment or fintech experience
• Experience and strong interest in ESG and CSR activities
• Experience working in fast paced matrix organisation
• Experience managing many different projects, workstreams and stakeholders
• Previous knowledge or understanding of the B Corp accreditation process or having worked for a B
• Corp accredited company (desirable not essential)
• Excellent presentation skills including ability to create compelling messaging
• Demonstrates gravitas and is assertive to influence key stakeholders
