Job Title:  IT Helpdesk Technician
 
Intro
 
Whilst most of Trust Payments are working from home at present due to local guidelines, our Covid secure offices have still been open for people that can’t work from home. We’ve hired and onboarded more than 100 people virtually since the pandemic started and have grown significantly as a business.
 
We’ve adapted our ways of working to ensure that new starters that join feel part of one big virtual team. From regular town halls to coffee mornings and dedicated mental health days, we want to ensure we put the needs of our employees first, during such difficult times. Main purpose of the job:
 
Working as part of the IT Helpdesk team who are the primary point of contact for Trust Payments staff seeking assistance with the company’s IT systems and services.
 
Responsible for the installation and configuration of computer hardware and software within the company.
 
Provide support and advice on mobile and desk telephony systems.
 
The role is based out of the Malta office, but may require travel to the other offices.
 
The position will carry autonomy within defined parameters, and the post-holder will be encouraged to take responsibility for decision-making within the strategic plan framework.
 
Duties and responsibilities:
 
•   Serve as First Line Support for staff seeking technical assistance for all IT issues via the Zendesk ticketing system and over the phone
•   Troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. This will include liaising with third party suppliers
•   User account management
•   Staff provisioning: install/configure computer systems for deployment to new staff or technology refreshes
•   Maintain hardware inventory
•   Server room organisation and maintenance work (server rack mounting, UPS installation, network and power cable runs etc.)
•   Purchasing and maintaining stock of IT equipment and consumables
•   Provide IT Technical Support to staff in the local office
•   Maintain, analyse, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals, this will include liaising with third party suppliers
•   Comply with all legislation and codes of practice appropriate to the role
 
Experience and Qualifications:
 
•   Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other general applications
•   Experience of installing/troubleshooting Windows 10 would be a benefit
•   Experience with a customer service tool, such as Zendesk advantageous
•   Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
•   Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
•   Able to work on your own as well as part of a team
•   Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
•   Good product knowledge
•   Ability to perform the role of a good ambassador for the organisation
