Main purpose of the job:
 
To manage partner relationships and serve as dedicated point of contact for individually assigned partners. The Strategic Partner Team is responsible for managing some of the largest and most valuable merchants within the business. This team will continue to play a key role in the growth of the business over the years to come. The Strategic Partner Account Manager (SPAM) will build trusted relationships and act as interface between the partner and Trust Payments. They will hold the responsibility for maintaining and growing profitability of the assigned partners. This role will work closely with the Head of Strategic Partnerships to continue to shape the success across the team.
 
Duties and responsibilities:
 
•   Understand the competitive landscape to ensure that Trust Payments remains a ‘partner-of-choice’ and proactively present recommendations to executive management
•   Acts as a liaison between Trust Payments and its channel partners whilst building credibility, brand value and trust
•   Responsible for maintaining and managing long-term relationships with current and prospective partners
•   Support key business metrics including client retention, revenue growth and profitability
•   Work with the HOSP and the Strategic Partner team to (i) define and (ii) deliver success criteria and to align key success criteria with each partner
•   Work with HOSP to continue to understand drivers behind Partner engagement and shape PAM engagement
•   Create new revenue by generating business opportunities through leads, sales enquiries, and prospecting
•   Provide expertise on our payment processing, fraud management and payment security technologies and advise on features and functionality to help customers execute their strategies
•   Proactively engage new solutions for partners
•   Work against a quarterly target with the aim to achieve 100%
•   Experience in negotiation and project management skills
 
Experience and Qualifications:
 
•   Strong strategic sales and customer relationship management experience
•   A consultative style and the ability to become a trusted advisor
•   Attention to detail; you are extremely organized and work well with others
•   Success in working in a fast-paced environment leveraging tools such as a customer service ticketing system (e.g. Zendesk) and CRM (e.g. Salesforce)
•   Payment’s sales and/or related experience
•   Solid knowledge and understanding of merchant services platforms. A bonus would be knowledge of Ecommerce and Moto Payments
•   Experience working with indirect sales channels such as resellers and sales partners
•   Strong individual contributor focused on a results-based performance driven through relationship-based business
•   Dynamic and energetic approach to partner engagement, with strong communication and negotiating skills; able to combine trouble-shooting and creative problem solving
•   Ability to travel
