Most of Trust Payments are still working from home at present but we are starting to return to our Covid secure offices on a flexible basis. It’s great to see some old faces, and many new ones. Whilst the last 18 months have been a tough time for everyone personally, we’ve adapted our strategy and continued our impressive growth. In that timeframe we’ve hired and integrated close to 150 new starters and grown our revenues significantly as a business.
 
We have adapted our ways of working to ensure that new starters that join feel part of one big virtual team. From regular town halls to coffee mornings and dedicated mental health days, we want to ensure we put the needs of our employees first. Main purpose of the job:
 
•   As a software development manager, you will be at the heart of driving their software development and innovation programmes
•   You will be leading a team of high performing developers as well as producing world class code yourself
•   The team and business is growing rapidly and this is a great opportunity to join a well-established business who value their staff
 
Duties and responsibilities:
 
•   Strong experience of managing a team of software developers
•   Strong background in Python development
•   Good knowledge of the latest technology trends & developments
•   Good knowledge of Agile (ideally implementing or driving its adoption)
•   Strong verbal and written communication and influencing skills
•   Full software development lifecycle ownership
•   Knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes
•   Highly organised with strong attention to detail
•   Manage the team of 10-15 people
•   Drive architecture
•   Review code
•   Growth and security of the business in line with the operating plan
 
Experience and Qualifications:
 
•   Python (Hands on coding ability)
•   Experience with Microservices
•   Experience working in payments
•   Experience leading software development professionals in a DevOps environment or high-tech company
•   Record of developing and delivering large scale, distributed or complex scale platforms
•   Experience with performing technical analysis on different technology design and implementation options
•   Passionate about all aspects of e-commerce technology
•   Background in technology and knowledge of the Payments Business Industry
•   Knowledge of technology-based products and services
•   Awareness of Trust Payments Limited range of products
•   Understanding of Payment system capabilities and features
•   Computer literacy, word processing, Salesforce, data handling, record keeping
•   Prior experience in the payments industry
