In 2019, under new management, Trust Payments restructured to establish itself as a leading FinTech payments and software solutions provider. Our Converged Commerce™ platform brings Storefront, Payments, Loyalty and Data Management together in one flexible and secure solution. It also uses cutting-edge technologies including Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain for frictionless transactions, new application development and helps to manage risk for our customers – today and tomorrow.
With an excellent track record in payment solutions since 1998 and an unrivalled focus on the customer, Trust Payments has a team of over 420 people across 11 offices worldwide. We are a leading provider of payments and next-generation commerce technology for SMBs and mid-market players in the UK, Europe and US. Daniel Holden
Chief Executive Officer
Daniel has spent the past ten years building high growth regulated financial institutions from the ground up. He successfully gained an MFSA license for acquiring.com and went on to achieve its full membership of both Visa and Mastercard that paved the way for its huge success. Daniel has created a scalable global fintech at Trust Payments, where he is focused driving exponential growth and building a lasting performance culture.
Siobhan Wright
Chief People Officer
Siobhan has built her career for over 20 years working in various SME and corporate companies; primarily in technology and software based businesses. She is extremely passionate about establishing a strong employee value proposition to attract, develop and retain key talent. Since joining Trust Payments in 2020, she has transformed the HR function and works closely as part of the Executive Team to embed a strong people strategy across the company.
Ryan Cachia
Chief Financial Officer
Ryan brings a wealth of financial expertise from the banking and payments sectors to Trust Payments. His career achievements include setting up companies under MFSA (Malta) licenses and building them into principal members of both Visa and Mastercard. His increasingly senior industry roles include Fortis Bank, NBG Bank, Insignia Cards and PayMix. Ryan is now focused on re-structuring the Finance organisation to support rapid growth and building Trust Payments into a £100m+ revenue generating payments platform.
Kevin O'Connell
Chief Product Officer
During Kevin’s almost 30 years in the payments industry, he has accumulated experience including as global head of acquiring product at processor First Data (now Fiserv) and as sales director for POS vendor Verifone where he was responsible for a 12-country region. Prior to joining Trust Payments in 2021, he was at Mastercard for more than eight years, where he led innovation initiatives across the network.He is now focused on leading Trust Payments’ product offering and enabling our solutions for our merchants and their customers.
Ian Hughes
Chief Technology Officer
Ian brings an invaluable perspective to his executive leadership role having started his IT career as a software developer. His career has encompassed blue chip technology brands including Siemens and British Aerospace. Ian has quickly delivered huge leaps in the tech capability at Trust Payments. His achievements including the migration of its platform which was achieved with zero downtime. He designed and developed our payments gateway and re-engineering the development process for speed and security optimisation.
Tom Pilling
Chief Risk Officer
Tom’s career includes nearly 20 years in leadership roles shaping acquiring risk policies for leading players in the payments industry. With experience drawn from Paysafe, Payvision and over ten years at WorldPay, Tom puts much of his career success down to learning from Chief Risk Officers who are the among the best in the business. Tom is a firm believer in nurturing talent from within and, together with his team, is focused on optimising business performance through precision management of its policies and processes.
Rob Hawley
Chief Operating Officer
Rob’s career in payments began at WorldPay and progressed into setting up international acquiring business units for First Data/Fiserv. From negotiating and signing bank partner agreements in South Africa to setting up its acquiring platform, Rob implemented the entire infrastructure of the new business. He also established an acquiring joint venture with a major European bank from governance all the way through to its customer proposition.
Steve Grech
CEO Malta
Steve has spent 25+ years in the Maltese financial services and payments market. He spent three years as CEO of Truevo Payments, leading the business from start-up to profitability. He was involved in the setting up of the Association for Financial Institutions in Malta and acted as its Chairman for the first 2 years. Steve also held senior positions in the cards and payments areas of Banif Bank (Malta) and Bank of Valletta leading and managing functions such as card issuing and acquiring, electronic channels and Internet banking.

Sir Michael Rake
Non-executive Director
Sir Michael Rake has an esteemed career spanning payments industry, banking, technology and more including holding the position of chairman of Worldpay Group plc from 2015 to 2018.
Sir Michael’s executive roles also include chairman of BT Group and a director of S&P Global. He served as president of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) from 2013 until 2015. Rake was on the board of Barclays from 2008 to December 2015 and promoted to deputy chairman in 2012.
Sir Michael joined KPMG in 1974, working in Europe before transferring to the Middle East to run the practice. He transferred to London in 1989 and became a member of the UK board in 1991. Following a number of leadership roles in the UK, Sir Michael was elected UK Senior Partner in 1998. He was Chairman of KPMG in Europe and Senior Partner of KPMG in the United Kingdom, prior to his appointment as chairman of KPMG International in May 2002, in which capacity he served till September 2007.

Masha Cilliers

Masha Cilliers has built a successful career in the payments industry over the past 20 years. She has spent the past 12 years in the online and mobile sectors developing regional and cross-border payment business across channels and verticals. Masha began consulting in 2012 and has delivered projects for many merchants, payment companies, banks and investors. Previously, Masha played key strategic roles at DataCash, GlobalCollect and CyberSource. She covered business development, partnerships, innovation and new product strategy across global multinational markets. Previously to that Masha spent five years at Microsoft where she oversaw the development of electronic and mobile payments for the online sales platform in Europe. Masha’s foundation in the payments industry was established over ten years at Visa International where she worked on business development and product strategy in CEMEA region.

Jakob Lindquist
Non-executive Director
Jakob is a financial services industry specialist, serving as a trusted advisor to many of Europe’s largest banks, insurers and asset managers.
Jakob has been an investment banker and corporate financier throughout his 31-year career. Working at Morgan Stanley between 1990 and 2012, he was a senior member of the Firm’s investment banking and capital markets EMEA management team.
As Co-Head of Morgan Stanley’s Global Financial Institutions Group EMEA, he led more than 100 EMEA professionals in corporate finance and capital markets – the Firm’s largest practice area by revenue and number of professionals.
At Morgan Stanley, Jakob was stationed in London and New York, and also spent extended periods in Asia. He has executed projects in more than 25 countries and has more than 200 announced career transactions to his name, of which more than $375bn in M&A and $125bn in Capital Markets.
