Trust Payments becomes first partner of pioneering new online volunteering portal from Rotary

Trust Payments, a leader in truly innovative commerce solutions across the UK, has agreed a strategic collaboration with Rotary, one of the world’s leading membership and humanitarian service organisations, to become the first partner organisation to utilise a pioneering new online volunteering portal.

The new portal run by Rotary Great Britain & Ireland (Rotary GB&I) aims to give individuals and organisations a chance to measure and grow their social impact. Trust Payments will use this tool to enhance community outreach and corporate social responsibility opportunities for its UK & Ireland staff.

As a result of the partnership, Trust Payments staff will become members of Rotary Great Britain & Ireland and can volunteer their time to make a difference in their local communities. Projects focus on supporting education, fighting disease, promoting peace, providing clean water and much more.

Employees will be able to build their own ‘Social CV’ by tracking their volunteer hours, receiving skill-based endorsements and support the causes that matter to them. Trust Payments will also benefit by being able to collectively measure employee social impacts through hours and monetary value.

“At Trust Payments, we have a business value of promoting responsibility and we strive to build a better, more sustainable tomorrow. This Becoming Rotary’s first enterprise member organisation, is a great step forwards in helping our UK & Ireland employees to drive social and environmental change and give back to the communities in which they live and work. Through the portal, they can access their local club and have access to a greater range of opportunities than they would see otherwise. Our staff can volunteer on community and humanitarian projects and activities which make a difference locally, nationally and globally - supporting those who need it most.”

Trust Payments’ employees will join 34,000 members in Great Britain and Ireland who regularly volunteer and create opportunities to improve the lives of others. The partnership will focus on volunteer and team building activities for the teams within Trust Payments’ employees who are based across the UK and in their Dublin office. This will include an induction workshop and at least four bespoke team building/volunteering events. Using the portal, employees will have access to a list of volunteering and project opportunities being hosted nationwide by the organisation’s 1,500 Rotary groups, that existing Rotary members or the public can sign up to participate in.

The partnership was formalised in a meeting with Daniel Holden, CEO Of Trust Payments and Amanda Watkin, Rotary GB&I General Secretary (pictured).

Holden added: “Trust Payments’ business purpose is to help businesses grow sustainably and we live and breathe that through our people and their actions. I’m delighted to partner with Rotary today to help them launch this new portal and help make our employees People of Action, ready to turn their ideas and vision into lasting change, by creating opportunities, supporting those who need it most and transforming their lives. This new portal is revolutionary for the charity space and sector and it’s an honour that they have chosen Trust Payments to be their first ever partner for it.”

Watkin remarked: “We’re thrilled to welcome Trust Payments in this collaboration as our first enterprise member, a new model of membership for Rotary, accompanying our new online platform. I’m very confident it will be invaluable in helping their employees to live up to their corporate values and purpose. Rotary was formed as a networking organisation and I’m sure that Trust’s staff will value the opportunity to expand personal and professional circles, meet new people and make lasting friendships, all while having fun and making a difference using our innovative new portal to do it all.”
