Trust Payments expands Harrogate office, looking for fresh talent

Trust Payments, the global unified payments group for global pay-in, pay-out and customer journey technologies, has recently announced its expansion into new premises in Harrogate and a commitment to double the local team to at least 35 people by end of 2021.

Trust Payments is headquartered in London, with 11 global offices. The company established a UK operations hub in Harrogate in August 2020, creating new Fintech jobs in Harrogate area. Within just eight months, the company has outgrown its original Harrogate premises and has recently signed a deal for new premises with space to double in size again. The new office is at The Exchange in Harrogate and will be opening this summer.

Daniel Holden, CEO, Trust Payments commented: “Since 2018, Trust Payments has been growing rapidly. We have just announced a 60%+ year-on-year growth, and are accelerating into key areas in payments and beyond. As we continue to expand the company, we see our presence in Harrogate as instrumental to supporting our growth both in the UK and internationally.”

Matt Jackson, newly promoted to Head of SME, joined the company a year ago to head up the Harrogate office and lead the local expansion. He commented “Last year we spent a lot of time making sure things were done right, we took our time, built new processes, new systems and hired the right people to help make the initial setup a success. Through 2020 the company has seen record growth, launched innovative new products, built valuable partnerships and most recently secured its Authorised Payment Institution (API) License from the UK FCA.”

The new office in Harrogate is considered the company’s Northern Hub, and the company will be creating many new roles, hiring specialists in Telesales, Account Management, Sales Support, Product and Operations.

Jackson added “As we’ve said before, Harrogate and the surrounding area has a great Fintech talent pool and we hope to take advantage of that where we can. The commitment to the new office is a great step forward in our plan. The office, which is right next to the train station, gives us transport routes for people living further afield and for employees from other offices to be able to easily visit Harrogate.”

Trust Payments offers payment services to business throughout the UK and globally, including online and Point of Sale services for many local businesses in the Harrogate area.

The company recently announced it has made the 2021 “Financial Services’ 30 Best Companies to Work For” list in the UK. Open roles as well as more information on the company’s services can be found at
